Offline tuning
Edit and check a tune with no ECU connected.
Every tuning tool in efi2000 works on the tune saved in your project, so you can edit tables, generate maps, run checks and review logs away from the car. When you connect, efi2000 compares the project's tune with the ECU's and you choose which one to keep.
How to use it
- Open a project in your Garage, or create one: load the INI under Project โ ECU definition and import your MSQ under Project โ Tunes & backups.
- Edit settings and tables under Tuning. The ECU doesn't need to be connected.
- Save the project.
- At the car, connect from Live โ USB connection and choose whether to send the project's tune to the ECU or read the ECU's tune.
What works offline
Table and setting edits, Generate tables, the boost table generator, Spotter tune checks, Project Review, tune comparison, Lua editing, log review and recorded-log autotune. Live telemetry, driving, idle and warm-up autotune, the trigger logger, and writing or burning need the ECU connected.
Connecting again
Each time the ECU connects, efi2000 compares its tune with the project's, as TunerStudio does. If they differ, you choose whether to send the project's tune to the ECU or read the ECU's tune into the project.
Example
You review last weekend's logs on a laptop at home, correct the VE cells that ran lean and save the project. At the car you connect, efi2000 shows the tunes differ, and you send the project's tune to the ECU.
The problem it solves
Time at the car is short, and the car is rarely where you do your thinking. Working on the tune offline leaves the time at the car for driving and logging.
